Pennvention 2019 First Round Application

Pennvention is Penn’s premier tech innovation competition held each spring since its inaugural event in 2005 and prides itself on being the sole entrepreneurship competition for Penn students with a primary focus on the technological innovation. Over the course of the competition, competitors will pitch their idea, develop an MVP or a new product feature, receive help from outstanding mentors, and potentially win over $20,000 in prizes.

The deadline to submit your application is Feb. 15, 2019. To be eligible for consideration, your team must provide a 5-slide deck summarizing your startup idea. Direct any questions to pennvention@gmail.com.

Apply to the Weiss Hardware Accelerator

The Weiss Hardware Accelerator (WHA) will run its inaugural cohort from February to April 2019. Teams of 3-4 students will develop a hardware device from concept to a functional prototype. Students are not expected to have any prior knowledge or experience of engineering design and fabrication skills.

Weiss Tech House Elevator Pitch

Team Application Due: February 3, 2017 at 11:59PM

Interested in raising money for your startup? Apply to pitch your startup at Weiss Tech House’s annual Elevator Pitch Competition! The Elevator Pitch Competition will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, 6:00-8:00PM. Selected teams will present 2-minute pitches in front of a panel of judges. Winners will receive funding.

This year’s prizes are still being determined, but last year’s prizes were 1st place: $1200, 2nd place: $650, 3rd place: $300, and Audience’s Choice Award: $150

Teams interested in pitching should apply by Friday, February 3rd at 11:59PM.
